About
The Late Live Show had its sixth and final season at the iO Theater in Chicago, culminating in a series finale on May 11.
But what is The Late Live Show? Since 2010, we’ve been taking the classic late-night talk show format, giving it a contemporary sensibility, and filling it with as much comedy as we can. Here’s what you’ll get when you come see us:
- A bunch of silly and off-beat jokes
- Interviews with special guests like Paul Feig and Danny Pudi from NBC’s Community
- Off-the-wall characters and sketches
- Live music from awesome local bands
Our show is brand new every week, so you’ll never see the same thing twice. We’ve been featured in Splitsider, MAXIM Magazine, DailyCandy, Huffington Post, and other press publications who have said nice things like this:
Chicago Tribune Red Eye “Extremely fun” “Best Bet”
Chicago Sun-Times “Cool Thing to Do in Chicago”
Metromix Chicago “Pick”
Chicago Reader “The Late Live Show provides an often-hilarious platform for unconventional local celebrities and bands. This is late-night geekery worth staying up for.”
Time Out Chicago “…surprisingly deft and culty” “…a late-night comedy show that’s crafting big laughs and a big following thanks in part to the palpable studio vibe, engaging banter and goofball antics.”
The A.V. Club “…act peppers in an underlying self-awareness and satirical edge, though, as well as that omnipresent sense of danger that comes from doing something live”
Newcity “With eccentrically dark edges, ‘The Late Live Show’ has an inspiring air of DIY ingenuity” “…delivers a quality hour of comedy.”
